Lily Siegel

The Executive Director is responsible for developing, guiding, and implementing the strategic vision of Hamiltonian Artists to advance the mission.

Lily Siegel is Hamiltonian Artists’ first Executive Director. Before joining Hamiltonian, Siegel was Executive Director and Curator at Tephra Institute of Contemporary Art (formerly Greater Reston Arts Center), Reston, Virginia, and has held curatorial positions at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco; the High Museum of Art, Atlanta; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Siegel earned her MA in Modern Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and BA in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego.

Anisa Olufemi
Director of Programs and Curator

The Director of Programs and Curator works closely with the Executive Director to implement and continually develop the organization’s wide range of programming to support the artistic and professional development of artists including, the fellowship program, public programs, artist studios, and partnerships. As Curator, they collaborate with fellows and invited artists to realize timely and well produced exhibitions within Hamiltonian Artists’ gallery space and offsite.

Anisa Olufemi is a curator and writer dedicated to elevating underrepresented emerging artists—within and without arts institutions. They have worked primarily as an independent curator and cultural worker, mounting exhibitions in galleries and DIY spaces located in Washington, DC; and Chicago. Olufemi earned their BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in art history, arts administration, and writing.

Sandy Cheng
Operations and Exhibitions Coordinator

The Operations and Exhibitions Coordinator works across departments to develop and support the agenda for the Hamiltonian Artists’ Fellowship Program, public programs, studio residents, and exhibitions.

Sandy Cheng is an art administrator and curator. Cheng is interested in how artists who have spent their formative years apart from their cultural origin, incorporate cultural influences into their work. Cheng earned her BFA in Visual Arts and Design from the National University of Tainan and MFA in Curatorial Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
