2026–2028

Jake Lahah is a printmaker, textile, and interdisciplinary artist who makes work about queer history, archives, and their poetic and political undertones. His research-based approach considers how craft practices inform the stewardship of queer narratives and sites, using art as both storyteller and technology to reveal what systemically remains hidden. He received his MFA in Print from Tyler School of Art + Architecture at Temple University (2024) and BFA in Print from George Mason University (2017). Recent exhibitions include the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Virginia Beach, VA; IA&A at Hillyer, Washington, D.C.; Grizzly Grizzly, Philadelphia, PA; and ADA Gallery, Richmond, VA. He was an ODU Gay Cultural Studies grant recipient in 2025. He has participated in residencies at Stove Works, Chattanooga, TN; Zygote Press, Cleveland, OH; and the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, Richmond, VA. He currently lives and works in Richmond, VA.
