Art All Night: Kinetic and WiP!

Saturday, September 30, 2023 6–11pm

Hamiltonian Artists

Join us for a double exhibition opening party. With the annual presentation of our growing Kinetic collection, and the unveiling of five newly constructed artist studios, this is our biggest event of the year! Come for the art, stay for food by Chef Demi Unique, sounds by DJ Nativesun, and drinks (cash bar) by Don Ciccio and Figli.

We are excited to present the second year of Kinetic, our art lending and sales program. This year we are launching the second catalog of artists through an exhibition at Hamiltonian Artists. We asked current Hamiltonian Artists fellows to share their work and to nominate other artists they admire to participate. Participating artists include Amber Cruz, Andy Martinelli Clark, Kyrae Dawaun, Dan Flounders, Erin Fostel, Isa Gold, Misha Ilin, Wayson R. Jones, Ali Kaeni, Nilou Kazemzadeh, Cecilia Kim, Giulia Livi, Jonna McKone, Caroline Minchew, Hien Nguyen, Danni O’Brien, Katie Peck, Edgar Reyes, Matthew Russo, Tavon Taylor, Eleanor Thorp, and Isabella Whitfield.  This exhibition is organized by Hamiltonian Artists Executive Director Lily Siegel, Gallery Associate and Artist Liaison Jonathan Bella, and Gallery Intern Sandy Cheng.

New this year, Kinetic membership is available at four different levels—$75, $250, $500, or $1,000 for the year. “This program was developed to make living with art accessible to more people,” says Executive Director Lily Siegel. “By offering a lower cost of entry, we hope people will take advantage of the opportunity to bring art into their homes, get to know artists and others who share their interest in building a stronger arts ecosystem where they live.”

WiP! will be on view upstairs in the new studios and will feature artists’ works in progress, sketches, studies, and material tests, alongside finalized works. By spotlighting the artistic process, WiP! celebrates the day-to-day creations that arise in artists’ studio practices. Participating artists include Oreoluwa Akinyode, Jermaine “jET” Carter, Camryn Casey, Fallon Chase, Maria Elias, Taryn Harris, Samantha Van Heest, Mahalia Iwugo, Selena “Noir” Jackson, Anthony Le, Lex Marie, Curtis Newkirk, Christie Ramsaran, Marisa Stratton, Selena “Noir” Jackson, Jessica Valoris, Isabella Whitfield, and Ashley Jaye Williams. This exhibition is organized by Hamiltonian Artists Fellowship Manager Anisa Olufemi.
