On Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 7:00pm, Mark
Cameron Boyd will talk about his work currently on view at
the Hamiltonian
Gallery.
A Hamiltonian
Mentor Artist, Boyd is exhibiting work along with Hamiltonian Fellows Christian Benefiel and Leah Frankel. Boyd will introduce the concepts behind
his participatory art practice and use of text on panels that allow visitor
interaction with chalk and dry erase marker. Additionally, Boyd will
discuss his Theory Notecards installation that
initiates a new twist he calls "owner-specific" participation -
only the "buyers of the blocks are authorized to decipher the bisected
text."
Hamiltonian
Artists would like to remind everyone that the last day we are accepting
applications for the 2009 Hamiltonian Emerging Artists Fellowship Program
is this Saturday, February 28, 2009.
Please drop off your application CD to the gallery,
or your application must be postmarked by February 28, 2009. The
gallery will be open this Friday and Saturday, from 12 - 6pm.

Hamiltonian
Artists is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional
development opportunities for creative artists in their early careers. We
offer a competitive two-year fellowship program to new, innovative visual
