HAMILTONIAN NEWS UPDATE (May 6,
2008)
A few of our So-Hamiltonian fellows are participating in
some very exciting upcoming shows. If you're in the neighborhood,
go check them out! Here's some of the details:
1. IAN MCLEAN DAVIS will be
in the national juried group show, "Paper Airplane," curated by jurors Amy Eva Raehse,
Director of Goya Contemporary Gallery and Jaqueline
Milad, Director of the Union Gallery at the University of Maryland,
College Park.
Presented by Paperwork Gallery, the exhibition of works
on paper include drawings, prints, mixed media and photography,
and runs from June 15 - August 30. The opening reception is Saturday,
June 28, at 6pm.

2. CHRISTIAN BENEFIEL will be
presenting his MFA Thesis exhibition at the Art
Gallery at the University of Maryland.
The opening reception is Wednesday, May 7 (TOMORROW) from 5 -7pm, and the
show will run until May 24.

3. Both So-Hamiltonian Fellow BRYAN ROJSUONTIKUL and
Founder PAUL SO are
participating in this year's ARTOMATIC, a month
long multimedia art event. Bryan will be
exhibiting a color field duct-tape installation, and Paul will be
exhibiting a new series of abstract works on clear acrylic panels.
The opening is on May 9 and the event runs from May 9 - June 15.
Events are held everyday at Artomatic, so check
the website for the schedule and catalog of the hundred's of artists
exhibiting.

4. PAUL SO was also invited to contribute to
the first ART ANONYMOUS, an incredible fundraiser
hosted by the Corcoran Gallery of Art and FRIENDS of the Corcoran, which
benefits the Corcoran College of Art + Design BFA Scholarship Fund.
All of the works, which are created by leading artists, CCA+C
Faculty and Students, are post-card sized, only $100 and signed on
the back, so you don't know the identity of the artist until you
purchase! Guess which work is Paul's! The reception is this
Saturday, May 10 from 6 - 11pm.
